Another comedian Dudley Doolittle was guest auctioneer and there were some top prizes on offer including a framed, signed Atomic Kitten poster and CD donated by The Ambassadors Tribute to Legends band. There was also a painting donated by Littleborough artist Walter Kershaw, and a limited edition photograph by Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.
The Ambassadors rounded off the night with a fantastic set of hits and film music including the ‘Blues Brothers’, ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ and ‘Grease’.
Garry Brooks, Robyn's father, said: “Making a speech at the ball was hard because it was the first time I had ever spoken in public without Robyn. But it was a fantastic night and I'm extremely grateful to everyone who worked so hard to organise the event.
This has given us a great platform to move forward as a charity. I want the Robyn Brooks Trust to be the biggest charity in the world as a tribute to my daughter and I hope people will continue to support us as they have in the past.”
