Pike Fold Golf Club 2003Traditionally the Captain of Pike Fold Golf Club at Unsworth,Bury choose a charity to raise money for in their year of office.
The Captain for 2003, Martin Jeff's was in no doubt where he wanted fund raising to go that year. Martin from Rochdale said " I have been following the story of Robyn Brooks in the Rochdale Observer from the beginning in 2000, up to her situation in New York." "I cannot believe the bravery of this little girl and her family. Every time I see her face she is smiling despite the often painful treatment she has to endure.She is a credit to the town." "Pike fold has a large nucleus of members from the Rochdale & Bury areas & everyone has contributed to this years charity.
On behalf of the members I wish Robyn the best for the future, keep on smiling" A cheque for £4600 was presented to Robyn's Uncle Brian Brooks the charity organiser .
