Angie Tunnacliffe

My name is Angie Tunnacliffe I’m 37, wife to Adrian, and mother to Michelle, Alexander and Aidan.

I’m a part time support assistant at Thornton Grammar School Bradford working with the special education needs department.

I first came across the Robyn Brooks Fund through Gareth Gates web site, (my nephew) and sent off for badges to sell, that was in February of 2002.

I received 100 through the post from Karen, I sold them and posted off a cheque.

I kept in touch with the Brooks family and we soon became good friends, I organised a Pop Idol fund raising event in March 2002, which raised a healthy £5000 pound plus, that was the start of our fund raising in Bradford, which to date has raise in the region of £90,000.

My family and myself have become very close friends with Karen, Garry, Elise, and Robyn, and I was overjoyed to be asked to join as a trustee.

I believe my reasons for being part of Robyn’s trust are simple, there is a lot of suffering in the world, which we take for granted, and if I can somehow ease the pain children like Robyn have to cope with I will certainly do my utmost to contribute to such a worthy cause.
