Atomic KittenThey donated thousands towards Robyn's treatment trust and came to see her in Rochdale and New York when she was receiving therapy at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre. Former Atomic Kitten star Jenny Frost is patron of the Robyn Brooks Trust. Here she explains why she is giving us her support: "Liz, Natasha and I fell in love with Robyn the first time we met her, just after her sixth birthday. She was the bravest little girl in the world and had already been through so much, more than most adults will ever have to endure. "We gave money to Robyn's Trust to help her have treatment in the United States. When we were in New York she came to our record company offices and we played games with her and took her to a toy shop. At the time the treatment seemed to be working but sadly she died less than 12 months later. "It was terrible that Robyn's parents Garry and Karen had to take Robyn so far from home because British doctors said they couldn't cure her. Parents with ill children have enough to worry about looking after the child without having to worry about how they are going to pay for their treatment. “We were all really sad when Robyn died, but Garry and Karen gave her nearly two more precious years of life. She could do lots of the things she really wanted to do, such as swim with dolphins. "I saw the heartbreak Garry and Karen went through and now I want to help other brave children like Robyn who are suffering from cancer, and give their families hope that there may be a cure for their child. “I'm supporting the Robyn Brooks Trust because the money raised will go directly to help other children. Robyn’s family and their friends at the trust want to raise awareness of Neuroblastoma and other childhood cancers, and show people what treatments are available. "The trust also wants to fund research into cancer so in time children can have lifesaving treatment at home here in Britain rather than having to sacrifice everything like Garry and Karen did by going to the United States in the hope of curing their child. "Please support the Robyn Brooks Trust by donating money through the website or by sending it to: 'Robyn Brooks Trust', Thank you. Love Jenny x
