Brian Brooks Chief Executive Officer

His job is to co-ordinate the fundraising activities of the trust, working with the trustees to ensure it is achieving its aims and doing vital jobs which include everything from dealing with the trust's legal advisers to giving information to families of children with neuroblastoma.

Brian, aged 48, lives in Rochdale, and is married to Janet with three children aged 19, 22 and 23.

He managed the trust for two-and-a-half years when it was raising money for Robyn's treatment in the United States during her brave fight for life. His hard work with the army of volunteers who gave up their time to help Robyn paid off as £650,000 was raised before she died.

He said: "Robyn was the sweetest child and bravely endured her treatment as she battled the disease that eventually took her from us."

"It was a pleasure to have been a part of her short life and I will miss Robyn every day. Seeing what she went through made me want to make sure that other children don’t have to suffer the same way she did."

"If we can do this then Robyn will not have died in vain."
